THE COLORS OF CAMBRIDGE |
 |
|
|
In summer we all gathered here And shared the pleasant atmosphere To learn about the shades and hues Of yellows, greens, purples and blues.
But colors weren’t confined to class, We also saw them during Mass. The stained glass windows were so bright, That hearts and minds were touched with light.
Refrain: One, two, three, four, five, six, seven Rainbow colors shine like Heaven Roses are red, violets are blue Cambridge colors - I love you.
When we sailed boats along the stream, We glanced the colors of a dream. The fantasies of our minds’ eyes Came true beneath the Cambridge skies.
Most surely Rembrandt, Klee and Titian Increased enjoyment of our vision, But we preferred to all their dyes Nicholas Friend’s bold shirts and ties.
Refrain
The top spot on our color charts Was the deep red within our hearts, For, like the lovely setting sun, Our friendships will go on and on.
